Rules For Sawan Vrat: Don't forget to do these 9 things during the fast of Sawan, Bholenath gets angry
The month of Sawan has started. It will be from 25 July to 22 August. Lord Shiva's infinite grace is received in the month of Sawan.By observing fast on Monday of Sawan, unmarried girls get the desired groom. On the other hand, worshiping Lord Shiva gives the boon of good health and well being. It is said that the people (especially women) observing the fast of Sawan have to follow certain rules. In such a situation, if you are also thinking of fasting during Sawan, then follow these rules mentioned during the fast.
If you are observing the fast of Sawan, then wake up in the morning and take a bath and worship according to the law. According to the scriptures, turmeric should not be used while worshiping Lord Shiva. In the worship of Lord Shiva, one can offer cannabis, datura, belpatra, white flowers, honey, fruits etc.
Consumption of meat and alcohol should be avoided in the month of Sawan. If you are fasting then don't forget to consume these things. By doing this Lord Shiva may get angry.
Satvik food should be taken in the month of Sawan. During this, the consumption of radish, brinjal, garlic, curry, black pepper and onion should be avoided.
People observing fast or fasting should avoid wearing black clothes. According to the scriptures, wearing black clothes during the fast can bring negative energy.
According to the beliefs, fasting should be done following the rules. During this time physical relations should not be made.
According to religious puranas, one should not sleep during the day during the fast. Instead you can do Bhajan-Kirtan of Lord Shiva.
According to religious beliefs, women are prohibited from touching the Shivling. It is said that Mata Parvati gets angry after touching the Shivling. Therefore women should avoid touching Shivling. This does not mean that women cannot worship Shivling.
People observing fast should not wear dirty clothes during this time. Wear clean clothes during the fast.
If you are reciting Shiva Kavach or Shiv Chalisa during the fast of Sawan, then do not talk to any other person in between while reading it. It is believed that by doing this, the fruit of your worship takes away negative powers.
