It is believed that if Pind Daan is done in Gaya, it brings peace to the souls of the forefathers.
Gaya Dham present in Bihar is mentioned in Garuda Purana as well as in many texts.
Let us tell you that Muktidham temple is present in Gaya for offering to ancestors. Where Mother Sita had offered the Pind Daan of Lord Rama's father i.e. her father-in-law King Dasharatha.
According to mythology, Lord Rama, Lakshmana and Sita reached Gaya Dham to perform Shraddha during Pitrupaksha.There Lord Ram and Laxman went towards the city to get the necessary items for Shradh. By the way, after the death of King Dasharatha, Bharat and Shatrughna performed the last rites according to the rules and regulations. Dashrath used to love his elder son Ram the most. In such a situation, the remaining ashes of his funeral pyre reached near the river in flight. At the place where Mother Sita was sitting on the bank of the river, Mother Sita felt the image of Dashrath. Sita immediately understood that it was King Dasaratha. And he wants to say something to them through these ashes. Talking about the lack of time, King Dasharatha asked Mother Sita to donate her body. Mother Sita picked up Dashrath's ashes in her hands. Present there Falguni river, cow, Tulsi, Akshayvat and a Brahmin were considered as witnesses and performed pindadan. When mother Sita told this thing to Ram ji, she could not believe it and when God got angry, she asked everyone. But during that time Tulsi, cow, Falguni river and that Brahmin refused. But Akshay Vat spoke the truth. But during that time Tulsi, cow, Falguni river and that Brahmin refused. But Akshay Vat spoke the truth. And told Akshayvat in a boon that whoever comes to Gaya for Pinddaan, his worship will be successful only after worshiping Akshayvat.
The Parashooran Paradox
