When we experience this unity, we not only align with our limited body and mind but also become one with the entire universe.
Two beautiful birds sit on different branches of the same tree. One is on the upper branch, and the other is on the lower branch. The lower bird eats the tree's sweet and bitter fruits. It tastes a sweet fruit once, followed immediately by a bitter one.
After a while, it feels that every fruit's taste has become bitter to it. Suddenly, its gaze falls upon the bird sitting on the upper branch. It doesn't eat any fruit, sweet or bitter. It is absorbed and calm within itself. Slowly, the lower bird starts moving towards the upper bird. When it reaches close to it, it comes under the influence of the upper bird. Now, it becomes peaceful, majestic, and free.
It turns out that there were never two birds on the tree. There was only one bird. The lower bird was merely the shadow of the upper bird. Similarly, in reality, we are inseparable from God. We are just the shadows of God. Just as the sun reflects in millions of drops of water, appearing as numerous small suns, God also reflects in myriad life forms.
Therefore, to understand God, we must first abandon all limited perceptions. See God in everyone. Until we reach a state where we see no one but the Lord in this world, we will remain surrounded by sorrow. Until we see distinctions in everyone, we won't experience the unity of the entire universe.
All are close to us. This is true religion, and the Lord instills this belief in all of us. When we experience this unity in the entire world, we become immortal. As long as a person is breathing in this world, I am alive within them. I am the form of Buddha, Jesus, and Mohammad Sahab. I am omnipresent. So rise—this is true worship.
This deep experience of spiritual unity leads us where the boundaries of individual existence dissolve, and we feel one with God and the entire world. Until we can't see God everywhere in the world, we will remain surrounded by pain and suffering. The feeling of discrimination and separation arises due to the lack of awareness of our unity with God. We and God are one. Seeing God in every person is true religion.
We become one with all beings of the past and present, with all saints and sages. This is ultimate worship, true humility, where we transcend the limitations of our existence and experience unity with God and the world. This realization of unity provides us with true happiness, peace, and liberation.
