One should not have any greed or attachment towards others' wealth and material possessions. Therefore, the welfare of both this world and the afterlife lies in consistently practicing virtuous deeds with renunciation.

Human beings are the finest creation of this world. God has endowed humans with intellect and wisdom to perform actions in this worldly realm. Hence, it is every individual's ultimate responsibility to make their human life successful by performing actions with knowledge and to progress spiritually. It is possible for humans not only to experience the consequences of their past actions but also to improve their afterlife by performing superior deeds with spontaneity. God has provided humans with intellect, senses, and abilities to discern truth from falsehood. Remaining ignorant in the darkness of ignorance despite receiving these gifts from the Divine is human ignorance.

The ancient spiritual texts, the Vedas, convey a message through God that humans should desire to live for a hundred years every day while performing righteous deeds in this world. Apart from this, there is no other path to attain happiness and peace.

Performing virtuous deeds in life does not bind a person to karma. Even in the Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna states that a person cannot remain without performing actions for a moment. Even if one does not engage in physical or sensory actions, their mental realm continuously engages in contemplative actions. The flow of inferior and superior thoughts in the mind is also termed mental karma. Therefore, it is certain that one must perform actions to live, and when performing actions is certain, why not perform selfless actions according to divine commands with discernment.

The mantras of the Ishavasya Upanishad state that God pervades in every object of this world, animate or inanimate. God is omnipresent in every particle of this universe. Therefore, God has absolute authority over every substance and materiality of this visible nature. He is the true owner of it all. Whatever substances exist in this creation are only meant for temporary use by humans. Hence, one should use all physical substances with a sense of renunciation.

Wherever the ego of oneself and mine dominates, there the arrogance of a person also increases. They become enslaved by the greed and desire for material possessions. However, ultimately, all those fleeting material possessions that a person gathers on the path of unrighteousness and injustice are left behind on this very earth.

Throughout life, a person closes the path of their spiritual progress by engaging in inferior actions. Our Vedic spiritual scriptures inspire humans to practice with the feeling that every physical object, wealth, home, and relationship encountered in this world is not mine but rather should be used with the mentality of 'this is not mine'.
