The infallible method of achieving success in life is Hanuman worship. Tasks beyond imagination are fulfilled through his worship. Not just gods and humans, even Lord Ram's tasks are not accomplished without Hanuman's blessings. Therefore, worshiping Hanuman is an effective way to fulfill desires, overcome obstacles, and alleviate all kinds of troubles and hardships. The tasks that are beyond our imagination are instantly fulfilled through Hanuman's grace.

Lord Hanuman is the most capable among all deities, the destroyer of evil, and the protector of the virtuous. Despite being extremely powerful, knowledgeable, and supreme in every aspect, Hanuman is extremely humble. Even the most difficult and impossible tasks of devotees become easy through his grace. Therefore, those aiming for significant achievements in life should seek refuge in Lord Hanuman. Hanuman's notable role can be seen in various episodes of the Ramayana, such as the search for Mother Sita, bringing the Sanjeevani herb for Lakshmana, and freeing Ahiravana from captivity.

Generally, there are different opinions among scholars regarding Hanuman Jayanti, but it is widely accepted that the full moon day of Chaitra month is celebrated as Hanuman Jayanti. This belief can also be understood through the verse:

"महचैत्री पूर्णिमाया समुत्पन्नौ अंजनीसुत:

वदन्ति कल्पभेदेन बुधा इत्यादि केचन।।"

This verse talks about the significance of Hanuman, The son of Anjani, being born on the auspicious day of Chaitra Purnima. It is mentioned that wise individuals describe various aspects and qualities of Hanuman in different ways.

However, some scholars also consider the Ekadashi of the bright fortnight of Chaitra month and the Chaturdashi of the Krishna Paksha of Kartik month as Hanuman Jayanti.

According to astrological calculations, Hanuman Jayanti is said to have occurred 185,581,115 years ago.

Lord Hanuman is considered as the 11th Rudra avatar of Lord Shiva, expert in intelligence and strength, and beloved servant of Mata Janaki (Mother Sita). He bestows eight supernatural powers and nine treasures.

In scriptures, Hanuman is also known as Bajrangbali because his body is as strong as a diamond. He is also called Vatatmaj or Vayuputra because he is the son of Vayu (the wind). Hanuman is also known as Maruti Nandan. 'Maruti' means wind and 'Nandan' means son, hence Hanuman is the son of the wind.

According to the Ananda Ramayana, Hanuman's count is placed among the category of 8 immortal sages. The other seven are Ashwatthama, Bali, Vyasa, Vibhishana, Narada, Parashurama, and Markandeya.

Various stories are told by scholars about Hanuman's birth. According to 'Skanda' and 'Bhavishya Purana', an asura named Kesari was there in Treta Yuga. He won over his senses and became ascetic through rigorous penance, pleasing Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva, being pleased, asked him to ask for a boon. Kesari asked for a son who would be powerful, victorious in battles, extremely courageous, and intelligent. Lord Shiva, pleased, said, 'I cannot give you a son because destiny has not written the joy of having a son in your life. However, I give you the boon of a divine daughter who will have a son just as you desire.' Some time later, Kesari got a divine daughter, whom he named Anjana. When she grew up, her virtues and beauty became famous, and Kesari, who was a powerful vanara, asked for Anjana's hand in marriage. Thus, Anjana became his wife.

Many years passed, but Anjana did not have a son. Once, the Dharmadevata Pulakshi came in the form of a sage and was predicting everyone's future. Anjana asked him about having a son in her life through donation. Then, Pulakshi, being pleased, answered in affirmation and advised her to perform penance at Shri Venkatachalaparvat for seven thousand years. There, Anjana did rigorous penance by consuming only air.

After some time, the prophecy of her penance being successful was heard, that when the supreme incarnate of Maryada Purushottam Bhagwan Shri Ram would come to earth to kill Ravana, her son would become his chief servant and would be the most victorious, powerful, and intelligent in the world. All this narrative was told by Anjana to Kesari, and both started waiting for the birth of their sons. Anjana told Kesari about the golden era and how the son would be like a vanara with a golden complexion like the sun, with red-colored face, body, and tail, hence named him Hanuman.

In this way, there is a clear difference in opinions among various scriptures and scholars, but most scholars have accepted the full moon day of Chaitra month as Hanuman Jayanti.

On Hanuman Jayanti, devotees should worship Lord Hanuman along with Mata Janaki and Lord Shri Ram with proper rituals such as puja, chanting, meditation, and penance. Fasting on this day and sincerely worshiping Hanuman brings rare blessings in life and helps in the destruction of all sins, making one eligible for liberation.
