When you do not desire anything other than God, that attitude of yours is called 'Ishvara Bhakti'. But when you have this desire or attachment towards a material object, then it is called attachment. When the little you do makes your mind clean and pure, when your thoughts make you pure from within, then only it can be called devotion.
When you remove yourself from any kind of jealousy, hypocrisy, hypocrisy or any such negative things then it is considered a sign of love towards God. You should always speak directly, if you do not like a person's actions, his words or his thoughts, then you should say so in clear words. "You are not following dharma or your words are not correct. You are mortal, the humanity inside you is dead, why should I support a human being like you?" You should never support such an uncivilized person who has strayed from the path of Dharma.
A person following the path of Dharma should not have any kind of relationship with such a person. You only need a little courage to break all ties with him. There is courage within every devotee of God, a person who walks on the path of devotion automatically gets a divine courage. He is neither afraid of anyone nor does he have any kind of hesitation.
Lord Krishna used to play the flute in the streets of Vrindavan, he is the same Krishna who preached the Gita to Arjuna in the field of Kurukshetra. Devotees are capable of doing anything, on the one hand they bear all kinds of atrocities, while on the other hand they dance and sing, and remain engrossed in devotion. For him life is a blooming flower. A person engrossed in devotion to God tries to be happy in every aspect of life.
