The nature of the mind is such that it always feels incomplete. Whether it is a collection of different things, a collection of knowledge or to make other people your own. Some sort of collection goes on. know that spirituality means taking some distance from the mind and becoming empty.
The nature of mind is to collect
The nature of the mind is always to collect. When it is gross, it wants to collect things, when it is a little developed, it wants to collect knowledge.
When you start creating a distance between all the things that you think and feel and yourself, then this is what we call consciousness.
When emotion prevails in it, it wants to collect people, its basic nature is simply that it wants to collect. Mind is a collector, always wants to collect something or the other. When a person starts thinking and believing that he is on the spiritual path, his mind starts accumulating so-called spiritual knowledge.
It may be that it starts accumulating the Guru's words, but whatever it accumulates, as long as one does not rise above the need to accumulate, it does not matter - whether it is food, anything, Be it worldly knowledge, people or spiritual knowledge - It doesn't matter what you're collecting. The need to collect means that there is still an incompleteness left. The only reason this incompleteness, the sense of being incomplete, has taken up residence in this infinite being is that somewhere you identify yourself with finite things that you are not.
Spiritual practice and consciousness: prepares for grace
If a person attains sufficient consciousness in his life, and continuously practices some spiritual practice, then his vessel gradually becomes completely empty. Consciousness empties the vessel, Sadhana cleans the vessel.
What we are calling Sadhana is an opportunity to raise your energy so that you can take control of your limitations and all the imperfections that have got you entangled in your thoughts and feelings.
When you follow these two aspects in your life, when you follow and practice consciousness and meditation for a long time, then this vessel of yours becomes empty. When this emptiness, this emptiness, this emptiness happens in your life, then only grace descends upon you.In fact, without grace one does not reach anywhere. If you want to feel grace, you have to be empty, you have to completely empty your vessel. If you live with a guru and collect only his words, then your life is more meaningless than an ant that stores food for winter or rainy season.
Have to wait a long time without grace
If you don't experience grace, don't make yourself capable of receiving grace, don't empty yourself to receive grace, then understand that you will have to walk on the spiritual path for many lives. This mindset has inculcated in you that wherever you go, collect as much as you can.
But if you have emptied yourself enough to receive grace, then your ultimate nature is not far away. It is here to be felt, it is here to be realized. Transcending all dimensions of existence, we enter a state of bliss. It is not about tomorrow or any other birth. It is a living reality.
The hoarding mindset has set in!
This mindset has inculcated in you that wherever you go, collect as much as you can. Basically your education is to blame for this. Education taught you how to accumulate as many things as possible. But this accumulation – no matter how much you have accumulated, it does not matter. Teach you more and more systematic methods so that you can collect as much as possible. You can earn your living from this collection. With this collection you can probably increase the quality of physical life around you to some extent.
Spiritual practice is needed, not the collection of spiritual knowledge!
But this accumulation – no matter how much you have accumulated, it does not matter. Whatever you have accumulated in your mind, whether it is local rubbish or scientific information or so-called spiritual knowledge, it will not liberate you. From where you are now, even a single step will not be able to take you towards your ultimate nature. You will need spiritual practice and inner work to bring the necessary consciousness into your life. There really is no alternative to it.
If you want to jump, cross the line and avoid the struggle to maintain consciousness, you have to be flawless. You have to be pure enough that you can easily give yourself completely. This is not something that you can do. All you have to do is allow it to happen automatically. Surrender is not something you have to do, surrender is something that happens automatically when you are not. When you lose all your desires, when you have no desires of your own, when you are completely ready that there is nothing in you that you can call your own, then that is the time when grace is upon you. Will incarnate.
Sadhana and Consciousness: You Can Only Create Favorable Conditions!
But I would always insist that you stick to the path of consciousness and spiritual practice. If you cross this line instinctively, it is wonderful, but if you try to cross it, you will see that you are deceiving yourself. Because such a line cannot be crossed at all. It can only happen on its own. No amount of qualification can make you do this. The way we are thinking and feeling are only creating a web of continuous bondage. If you are ready to give up all your abilities and disabilities, all your likes and dislikes, and above all, all the nonsense and elements that have made you think 'this is who I really am', if you If you are ready to give up all the elements that support your limited existence, then only grace will descend on you. This is not something that you can do. All you have to do is allow it to happen automatically. But through a process of consciousness and cultivation, you can create a situation where it can definitely happen.
What is consciousness and meditation?
The way we are thinking and feeling are only creating a web of continuous bondage.
