When the lamp of faith is held in hand, even darkness cannot block the path.

Everyone wants to move forward in life. For progress, one needs effort, self-confidence, and patience. The one who believes in effort doesn't hesitate even in the face of challenging tasks. They walk with the conviction that the pinnacle of progress can be reached by those who not only believe in effort but also understand the essence of living.

Understanding the secrets of success is crucial. However, merely knowing them without taking action will lead to nothing. Action is required. Remember, mere thinking or desiring doesn't bring results. We must take steps towards fulfilling those desires. Often, people remain inactive and only keep thinking. Dr. Henry Link says, 'Fear is produced by sitting still. Work dispels those fears.' Even a diligent person may pause midway if they don't accept the challenge of enduring difficulties and lack courage. The bright flame of effort fades away when faced with intolerance and disbelief.

There are many individuals with courage, effort, a passion for work, and time on their side. However, their progress is hindered due to a lack of patience and self-confidence. They stumble along the way. The result is failure, frustration, and disappointment. If a person learns these lessons, they can achieve lofty goals much faster. The development of self-confidence, effort, and tolerance requires the infusion of new faith within each individual. A person without faith cannot attain knowledge, and without knowledge, one cannot become disciplined. The ultimate development of the soul is inconceivable without discipline. Regardless of the field, be it religion or science, success is not attainable without faith, not in the realm of religion, science, or even the field of action. Lack of faith is, in a sense, an invitation to deviate. To avoid the negative consequences of deviation, one must hold the lamp of faith. The light of knowledge spreads only when the lamp of faith is lit.

One of the causes of deviation is lack of faith. Another cause is boundless desire, and the third cause is indiscipline. A person whose focus is not centered on faith, in other words, someone who is not steady, who will control their desires? Who will adhere to discipline when desires roam freely? If they fail to do so, they won't be able to move forward. Hence, controlling boundless desire and indiscipline is necessary. Even when necessary, both these tasks are challenging. In this age of freedom, where every individual cannot tolerate the interference of another in their desires, it can be understood how difficult it is to control indiscipline.

However, this situation of indiscipline arises from boundless desires or new aspirations. In this context, Lao Tzu said, 'Be content with what you have; rejoice in the way things are. When you realize there is nothing lacking, the whole world belongs to you.' This mindset is the foundation of a successful, balanced, and meaningful life."
