There is talk all over the world about the grandeur and beauty of this temple. This temple has become so beautiful that people from all corners of the world are coming to see it. But do you know who the temple is dedicated to, Bhagwan Swaminarayan, and why he is revered so much in society?

Let me tell you, the temple of Bhagwan Swaminarayan is located not only in India and Abu Dhabi but also in many other countries around the world, where Bhagwan Swaminarayan is worshipped as the Parabrahma.

As we all know, there are many sects within Hinduism, and one of them is the Swaminarayan sect. Bhagwan Swaminarayan is considered the founder of this sect, born on April 3, 1781... The special thing is that Swaminarayan was born in Ayodhya, so you can say that there is also a special connection between Ayodhya and the Swaminarayan temple. His family named him Ghanshyam... It is said that when Bhagwan Swaminarayan was born, there was a lotus mark on his feet, and at that time, great scholars had said after seeing the feet of that child that he would guide the people of this world in the right direction in the future.

Bhagwan Swaminarayan started studying scriptures at the age of just 5 years... People say that at a very young age, he completed the study of scriptures, and at a young age, he decided to leave home and go on a journey across the country. During his journey, he met people, conducted satsangs, and gave lectures. His fame began to spread rapidly, and the number of his followers started increasing rapidly.

Establishment of the Swaminarayan Sect

After spreading spirituality throughout the country, he reached Gujarat and established the Swaminarayan sect there... Through this, he tried to end many practices prevalent in society and helped people during natural disasters... Because of his contribution, people started worshiping him as the incarnation of God.

Bhagwan Swaminarayan taught his followers spiritual principles, philosophy, moral values, and practices, etc. After Bhagwan Swaminarayan, many gurus became the spiritual successors in the Swaminarayan sect, who worked to further the legacy of this sect.

The third spiritual successor of Swaminarayan, Shastriji Maharaj, established the BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha in 1907, through which many temples were built around the world. This organization has built more than 1,200 Hindu temples worldwide. It is also noteworthy that this organization has been honored with many national and international awards.
