Knowledge doesn't grow by hoarding but by sharing; don't keep it boxed up.
Great men have said that holding onto knowledge is never wisdom... the true use of knowledge is when you share it with others...
Once upon a time, a saint used to live in the jungle with his two disciples. The saint was extremely wise, and people from far and wide came to him with their problems seeking solutions. The saint would provide them with the right solution, and because of this, he started gaining recognition even in distant areas, and his fame grew.
When the education of his two disciples was complete, the saint gave each of them a box filled with wheat. The saint said to them, "I am now going on a spiritual journey for a year. When I come back, both of you return these boxes of wheat to me, but be careful not to let the wheat spoil.
Saying this, he set out on a year-long spiritual journey.
The next day, one disciple placed the box of wheat in the temple and started worshiping it regularly.
Meanwhile, the other disciple took out the wheat from the box and planted it in his field. After some time, a crop of wheat was ready. Now, the second disciple had a lot of wheat in his possession.
When a year passed, the saint returned to the ashram and asked the disciples for the boxes of wheat.
The first disciple said, "Guruji, I took great care of your trust. I used to worship this box of wheat every day.
When the saint opened the box, he found that the wheat was infested with insects.
The saint had said that the wheat should not spoil... and there were insects in that disciple's box. Seeing this, he was very embarrassed.
The second disciple came with a bag to the saint and said, "Guruji, here is your trust.
Seeing the bag filled with wheat, the saint was very pleased and said, "Son, you have passed my test. Whatever knowledge I gave you, you have applied it in your life and used my knowledge correctly."
The saint explained to both his disciples, "As long as you keep knowledge in a box, it will be of no use; after some time, it will only be wasted. The more you share it, the more you incorporate it into your life... it will bear fruit accordingly.
